ABOUT US

We have two of our own tipis which we have been using for 7 years or more taking them on trips and to small festivals, loving every moment, even the damp ones. Whitehorse Tipi Village has been in the planning for a couple of years now, since we realised that so many people wanted to share the experience of staying in a tipi and that there was nowhere dedicated to such an adventure in central England.

We found a nice two and a half acre site for 6 tipis in stunning full view of White Horse hill.

Tucked away amongst farm land but very conveniently attached to Farmer Gow's, a great little children's activity farm. A lot of time has been spent making the village site just right, putting in 2 showers, toilets and water. We've planted over 200 young trees, dug some fire pits and built some barbecues.

Park your car in Farmer Gows and walk 150 yards across a field to the village, a barrow is there for your stuff. We are 20 mins by car from both Oxford and Swindon and for all your shopping needs we are only 10 mins drive from the old market town of Faringdon.

The local village of Fernham (1 mile walk) boasts the well known Woodman Inn, serving an excellent choice of ales and good food for when you fancy a night off from slaving over a hot bonfire.

We're always looking for ways to help you enjoy your holiday with us. We are currently in discussion with someone who wants to organise yoga retreat weekends, a colleague teaches bush craft and we're hoping to entice him over to make your holiday a memorable one.

Please feel free to tell us your ideas, all comments are welcome, we'll learn from the bad ones and smile at the good.
